1. About this Service Level Statement
This page sets out what you can currently expect from MRS Bookkeeping in terms of response times and communication during records organisation, bookkeeping-readiness, practical admin support, education and clarity work.
2. Current service and AML status
HMRC AML registration has been submitted and paid for and is currently awaiting confirmation. MRS Bookkeeping is not a money service business, or a trust or company service provider, so HMRC’s own guidance confirms it can trade while that application is being processed.
Alongside records organisation, bookkeeping-readiness, practical admin support, education and clarity work, MRS Bookkeeping now also offers bookkeeping for client use, accounts preparation, VAT return preparation, MTD submissions and tax return preparation. Payroll services and formal tax advice will be added once AML supervision is confirmed. This Service Level Statement reflects that current scope.
For more detail, please see the AML / Service Scope page.
3. What MRS Bookkeeping commits to
MRS Bookkeeping aims to:
- reply to emails within 2 business days;
- return calls within 2 business days;
- let you know promptly if a response will take longer than expected.
4. Records organisation and clarity work
Timescales for records organisation, bookkeeping-readiness and clarity work will normally be agreed as part of the written scope for that piece of work, since the time needed can vary considerably depending on the volume and condition of records involved.
If a delay looks likely, MRS Bookkeeping will let you know as soon as reasonably possible, along with a revised estimate.
5. Once AML supervision is confirmed
This statement will be reviewed and updated once HMRC AML supervision is confirmed and regulated bookkeeping services become available, to reflect realistic turnaround times for ongoing bookkeeping, reporting and related work.
