1. In plain English
DIY MTD Membership is a rolling monthly membership for sole traders who want ongoing support getting and staying ready for Making Tax Digital, rather than a one-off session.
2. Who this might help
This may suit sole traders who want to keep on top of MTD readiness over time, rather than dealing with it as a one-off scramble closer to a deadline.
3. What’s included
This might include:
- ongoing MTD-readiness education and updates as rules and deadlines develop;
- practical, recurring records-organisation guidance;
- access to guides, checklists and resources as they’re produced;
- general clarity and next-step support on a rolling basis.
4. Not currently included
Not currently included: MTD submissions, regulated bookkeeping, transaction categorisation for client use, tax return preparation, VAT return preparation, accounts preparation, payroll and PAYE administration or formal tax advice unless that work is separately agreed in writing. Cancel any time.
5. Pricing
Indicative price: £19.95/month. See the Pricing page for the full picture.
6. Current service status
MRS Bookkeeping is supervised by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) for anti-money laundering purposes and is separately registered with HMRC as a tax agent.
Alongside records organisation, bookkeeping-readiness, practical admin support, education and clarity work, MRS Bookkeeping offers bookkeeping for client use, accounts preparation, payroll and PAYE administration, VAT return preparation, MTD submissions and tax return preparation. Formal tax advice remains outside the current service scope.
For more detail, please see the AML / Service Scope page.
7. Before work begins
No paid work starts without a clear written scope and agreed terms. Membership terms, including cancellation, will be confirmed before you sign up.
Submitting an enquiry does not create a client relationship.
8. What happens next
- You send a short message to enquire.
- I usually reply within 2 business days.
- I confirm membership terms and how to sign up.
- You can cancel any time.
