1. In plain English
A Barefoot Business Advisor session is a deeper strategic thinking-partner session for sole traders, small business owners and landlords — for when the issue isn’t just records, but a wider business decision, direction or priority you want to think through properly.
2. Who this might help
This might help if:
- you need to make a decision and want to think it through with someone;
- you want an outside perspective on priorities or workload;
- you want practical next-step planning at a business-strategy level, not just a records level.
3. What’s included
This might include working through a specific business problem or decision, reviewing priorities, workload or direction, and practical next-step planning at a strategy level.
4. Not currently included
This is general clarity and education work. It is not tax advice, legal advice, investment advice, regulated financial advice or formal accountancy advice.
5. Pricing
Indicative price: from £250 (half-day). See the Pricing page for the full picture.
6. Current service status
MRS Bookkeeping is supervised by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) for anti-money laundering purposes and is separately registered with HMRC as a tax agent.
Alongside records organisation, bookkeeping-readiness, practical admin support, education and clarity work, MRS Bookkeeping offers bookkeeping for client use, accounts preparation, payroll and PAYE administration, VAT return preparation, MTD submissions and tax return preparation. Formal tax advice remains outside the current service scope.
For more detail, please see the AML / Service Scope page.
7. Before work begins
No paid work starts without a clear written scope and agreed terms.
Before paid work begins, I will normally confirm what is included, what is excluded, the price or pricing basis, expected timescales, and payment, cancellation or refund terms where relevant.
Submitting an enquiry does not create a client relationship.
8. What happens next
- You send a short message about what you’d like to work through.
- I usually reply within 2 business days.
- We agree a time, format and price for the session.
- No paid work starts without a clear written scope and agreed terms.
