1. In plain English
Practical Admin Support is for small businesses or community organisations that need help bringing order to financial paperwork or admin records.
This is practical organisation and clarity work — it’s not regulated bookkeeping or accountancy work.
2. Who this might help
This may suit sole traders, small businesses, landlords and community groups whose financial admin has built up into a backlog, or who simply want a clearer system going forward.
3. What’s included
This might include:
- sorting and labelling documents;
- creating a simple record structure;
- separating business paperwork by type or period;
- helping identify missing or unclear documents;
- improving basic filing or record-keeping habits;
- getting your information ready so you can have a more useful conversation with an accountant or adviser.
4. Pricing
This is scoped and quoted individually depending on your situation — see the Pricing page for indicative pricing on related services, or get in touch for a quote.
5. Current service status
MRS Bookkeeping is supervised by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) for anti-money laundering purposes and is separately registered with HMRC as a tax agent.
Alongside records organisation, bookkeeping-readiness, practical admin support, education and clarity work, MRS Bookkeeping offers bookkeeping for client use, accounts preparation, payroll and PAYE administration, VAT return preparation, MTD submissions and tax return preparation. Formal tax advice remains outside the current service scope.
For more detail, please see the AML / Service Scope page.
6. Before sending documents
Please do not send bank statements, ID documents, tax records, payroll information or other confidential documents until I have confirmed the appropriate secure handover method.
A short description of the situation is enough to begin. If documents are needed, I will explain what is needed and how they should be provided.
For more information, please see the Data Handling / Client Records Notice.
7. Before work begins
No paid work starts without a clear written scope and agreed terms.
Before paid work begins, I will normally confirm what is included, what is excluded, the price or pricing basis, any limits on volume, time, records or documents, expected timescales, what information or records are needed, how documents should be provided, and payment, cancellation or refund terms where relevant.
Submitting an enquiry does not create a client relationship.
8. What happens next
- You send a short message about your situation.
- I usually reply within 2 business days.
- If it looks suitable, I provide a written scope and indicative price.
- No work starts until scope, price and terms are agreed.
